With a motto of Real skiing, real people, real value, Apex Alpine aims to offer the true spirit of skiing, not the corporate 'plastic smiles' one. Currently completing a $20 million expansion, the resort has been voted The Best Small Destination Resort in Canada by Ski Canada Magazine.

 Notable Ski Runs

The longest possible descent in Apex Mountain is 5km3 miles long.


Regarded as some of the best skiing in North America, Apex boasts dry Okanagan powder, short lift lines and uncrowded slopes. In under six minutes the high-speed quad chairlift takes you to the top of the mountain. From there you can access 1112 acres of magnificent fall-line skiing and boarding. While Apex has more than its share of challenges for expert skiers, with 67 runs, the area also offers beginner and intermediate skiers an inspirational experience on gentle rolling cruisers, groomed to perfection. Guests will love our Snow Sport and Adventure Centre, an innovative service, which incorporates the Ski and Snowboard School and the Rippin Rascals Kid's Club and is the central reservations point for all resort activities.

Apex Mountain offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Apex Mountain is Penticton, 37 minutes drive away.

Kelowna airport is also within three hours drive.

Penticton is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

The five ski lifts are able to uplift 8,684 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Season Dates

When is Apex Mountain open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

COVID-19 / Coronavirus

We don't yet have specific details of the COVID-19 precautions being taken in Apex Mountain, but they are likely to include most of the following :-

  • Face masks required on lifts, and in shops.
  • Social distancing in public areas.
  • Reduced lift capacity.
  • Extensive disinfection / sanitization.
