Smithers boasts the Shames Mountain ski area, featuring over 1,500 acres of skiable terrain and an elevation of 1,800 meters. Notable pistes include the challenging 'The Wall' and the popular 'Flintstone' run, while the Shames Mountain Express lift provides quick access to the slopes.

Smithers is accessible via Highway 16, with the nearest major airport being Smithers Regional Airport. From there, it's a short drive to the resort, making it convenient for travelers.
