Ski Club's Archive Moves to Leicester

The Ski Club of Great Britain recently sold its offices in Wimbledon and rented more modest accommodation in the area.
This left it with a problem: what to do with its extensive archive of British skiing heritage built up over the past 115 years since the Club was established by a group of friends during a meeting at the Café Royal in London on 6 May 1903?
The Club had previously announced they had partnered with a University to house the archive and has today announced that that university is the De Montfort University in Leicester.
The University is a leading international centre of sporting history and already houses Collections from Kodak, Special Olympics, England Boxing and more.
After six months of working through the Ski Club items with De Montfort they have been admitted to the Special Collections, where they will be catalogued, curated and made available for public viewing and academic use on request.
The official collection launch will take place on the 15th March 2018 at De Montfort University.
