La Clusaz names new piste 'Candide Thovex'

Freeride skier, Candide Thovex, has been honoured by his hometown ski resort of La Clusaz in France.
The resort has named a new slope the 'Candide Thovex' piste. It is located between the Crintiaux piste and the Col de Balme chairlift in the Massif de Balme sector of La Clusaz.
Thovex, who has over one million followers on Facebook, thanked the resort on social media:
"I learned to ski at Balme and Balme taught me everything. This mountain shaped my skiing."
"I am honoured to see part of Balme bear my name and I want to thank La Clusaz for this recognition."
