April sees Courchevel host two spectacular sporting events - the Winter Legacy by Alexis Pinturault and the Dynastar X3 Courchevel.

Winter Legacy by Alexis Pinturault, 12 April

Created by Alexis Pinturault, the World Cup ski racer from Courchevel, 'Winter Legacy' is a unique competition.

The concept is a single run across five disciplines - moguls, giant slalom, ski cross, super-G and finally a waterslide. People can compete solo or as a team of four. There is a separate category for children aged 9 to 14 on a specially adapted course.

There's plenty of other activities to try out including electric snow scooters, laser rifle shooting, ski trials, a DJ set, a waterslide, a raffle and also the chance to meet French skiers such as World Cup winner Clément Noel.

Dynastar X3 Triathlon, 13 April

This 'vertical triathlon' is back for its 12th edition to test the endurance of the amateur and pro athletes alike.

The Dynastar X3 combines cycling (13.9 km / 930 m ascent), trail running (6.3 km / 180 m ascent) and ski mountaineering (4.8 km / 950 m ascent), from the valley to the summit of La Saulire.

The race is open to solo or teams of three. you can find out more about the Dynastar X3 in Episode 93 of The Ski Podcast, after host Iain Martin took part in the 2022 event.
