Canada's 2017-18 Ski Season Gets Underway As Big Snowfall Buries Slopes

There have been big snowfalls in Canada and some areas in the US over the past 48 hours, particularly the past 24 hours.
Ski resorts in Alberta, Wyoming and BC have reported up to 45cm (18 inches) of snow so far and with the snowfall expected to continue through the weekend some re expecting over a metre of snow by Monday.
Banff's Mt Norquay says it will be the first in Canada to open tomorrow, Friday 3rd November, with Nakiska (pictured above earlier today) opening a day later on the 4th.
Lake Louise, Marmot Basin and Sunshine say they'll open the weekend after this around November 10th.
