Nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, Val Gardena is a premier ski destination known for its majestic landscapes and well-groomed slopes. The resort boasts over 175 kilometers of ski runs, making it a favorite among winter sports enthusiasts.

The ski area of Val Gardena is in the Italian Dolomites at an altitude of 1,236m 4,055ft , with 181km 112 miles of marked runs.

Val Gardena is part of the Dolomiti Superski area with access to 1,294km 804 miles of downhill skiing, with 668 marked pistes, served by a total of 488 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Val Gardena itself ( 181km 112 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dolomiti Superski ski resorts of Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, Alta Badia, Alta Pusteria, Arabba, Bruneck-Kronplatz, Civetta, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Marmolada, Obereggen, Predazzo, San Martino di Castrozza, San Vito di Cadore, Val di Fassa, Val di Fiemme and Valle Isarco.

With ski lifts as high as 2,518m 8,261ft , skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

Skiing

Val Gardena is part of the Dolomiti Superski area, featuring the famous Sassolungo and Sella Ronda circuits. The highest peak, Sassolungo, reaches 3,181 meters, with notable pistes like the Seceda and the Dantercepies, complemented by efficient lifts such as the Col Raiser and the Alpe di Siusi gondola.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Val Gardena is Bolzano, 60 minutes drive away.

Innsbruck Airport, Verona, Brescia, Treviso, Venice, Bergamo and Salzburg airports are all within three hours drive.

Bolzano is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Val Gardena is easily accessible via major airports like Bolzano and Innsbruck, with well-connected roadways leading directly to the resort. Travelers can also take advantage of train services to nearby stations and shuttle services to reach the slopes.
