With over 80 kilometers of ski runs, Dorfgastein provides a diverse skiing experience. The resort features a mix of gentle slopes for beginners and thrilling pistes for advanced skiers.

The ski area of Dorfgastein is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 860m 2,822ft , with 201km 125 miles of marked runs.

Dorfgastein is part of the Gastein ski area with access to 205km 127 miles of downhill skiing, with 178 marked pistes, served by a total of 50 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Dorfgastein itself ( 201km 125 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Gastein ski resorts of Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein, Graukogel and Sportgastein.

With ski lifts as high as 2,033m 6,670ft , snow cover is generally reliable.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Dorfgastein is Salzburg, 70 minutes drive away.

Klagenfurt, Linz, Ljubljana, Munich, Innsbruck Airport and Graz airports are all within three hours drive.

Dorfgastein is accessible via Salzburg Airport, located about 90 kilometers away. The best route is to take the A10 motorway towards Villach and follow signs to Dorfgastein.

When is Dorfgastein open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is late December, and usual closing is Mid April.
