Wildhaus is surrounded by the impressive Churfirsten mountain range, featuring 60 kilometers of ski runs with an elevation reaching 2,265 meters. Notable pistes include the challenging Schwammkopf and the family-friendly slopes at Wildhaus, served by efficient lifts like the Wildhaus-Gamsalp cable car.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Wildhaus is St. Gallen-Altenrhein, 36 minutes drive away.

Friedrichshafen, Zurich, Memmingen, Innsbruck Airport, Lugano, Basel, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, Munich and Berne airports are all within three hours drive.

St. Gallen-Altenrhein is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

To reach Wildhaus, the closest major airport is Zurich Airport, approximately 90 kilometers away. From there, visitors can take a train to the nearby town of Walenstadt and continue by bus to the resort.

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Late March (Closes very end of March or very early April).

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, unwind in local bars like the Berggasthaus Iltios, which offers a cozy atmosphere and drinks. Additionally, the nearby restaurants serve hearty Swiss cuisine, perfect for refueling.
