Skiing
Oberau is surrounded by the stunning peaks of the Alps, with a ski area that spans approximately 50 kilometers of slopes. The highest point reaches an elevation of 1,800 meters, and notable pistes include the family-friendly 'Bergbahn' run and the challenging 'Schwarze Piste'. Key lifts such as the Oberauerbahn and the Wiesenlift provide easy access to the slopes.
There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Oberau is Innsbruck Airport, 50 minutes drive away.
Munich, Salzburg, Memmingen, Bolzano, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Graz, Linz and Friedrichshafen airports are all within three hours drive.
Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
Oberau is easily accessible via major transport routes, with the nearest airport being Innsbruck, located approximately 70 kilometers away. From there, you can take a train or drive to the resort, enjoying the scenic alpine roads.

When is Oberau open?

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Early April.
