How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Grainau is Innsbruck Airport, 63 minutes drive away.

Memmingen, Munich, Salzburg, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Bolzano, Friedrichshafen and Stuttgart airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Grainau is easily accessible via Munich Airport, located approximately 120 kilometers away. From there, travelers can take a train or drive to reach the resort.

Season Dates

When is Grainau open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December (Zugspitz glacier may open earlier in autumn), and usual closing is Early May.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski

After a day on the slopes, visitors can unwind at local bars like the Zugspitzblick or enjoy a meal at restaurants such as the Panorama Restaurant. The vibrant atmosphere makes for a pleasant après-ski experience.
